I decided to open this thread to give a long account of my preparation for the 2021 IELTS test.

I will write down all of the things that I learn in a day, so that I can look back after this hard time, including new vocabulary, newspapers, movies and writing essays... Do not hestitate to share me your journey.

Have you ever the film "In The Mood For Love" directed by Wong Kar-wai, who already got the best director prize in the Cannes Film Festival.

Now, I have a hard time struggling with strange english words and structures to read an article about this film. Here is the link: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2000/oct/27/1

Dude, we're on the same boat. It's cool if we could share something about ourselves, like what is your motivation to take the test? which band score did you expect to achieve? How was your journey so far?

I'll come first,
- I want to take IELTS test to prove myself that I'm not a retard, get a better job or maybe being prepared for a chance of a better life, bc chance favors only the prepared mind (L. Pasteur)
-
I expect to get band 7, but I'll take my shit more seriously than that
- So far, I've only practiced some pronunciation stuff. There is nothing insight yet, but I have a plan, I'm trying to stick to it

Cho phép em sửa giúp thím nhé:
- Have you ever watched the film "In the Mood for love" directed by Wong Kar-wai, who has already won the best director prize in Cannes Film Festival ?

Đây là những lỗi sai của thím:
- Thiếu động từ (verb): Have you ever the film? (Câu này của thím phải có động từ đi với film, trường hợp này sẽ là "see" hoặc "watch").
+ See a movie: ám chỉ việc thím đi ra rạp và xem phim ở rạp.
+ Watch a movie: ở nhà bật phim lên và coi
- Sai thì tiếng Anh: trong câu này chỉ một sự việc xảy ra trong quá khứ nhưng ko đề cập rõ thời gian thì phải dùng hiện tại hoàn thành (present participles): cấu trúc là S+has/have+V3.
- to win a best director prize sẽ chính xác hơn là "get a best director prize".
Chúc thím học tốt :)
P/s: Cảm ơn thím vì đã recommend 1 bộ phim hay.

Bruh, what do you mean by "retard" while at the same time boasting a 7 or higher expected band. I'm pretty sure you are well aware that you are not a mentally challanged hooman, and you were just trying to be "humourous" or "sarcastic" or whatever. But anyway, can you share a bit more about your plan? xD i.e. what's your learning schedule or what skills you're focusing on.
Although I have been busy lately, I have read all your comments and appreciate it so much.

I have a tendency to use Facebook whenener I have spare time, so I decided to detele this app on my mobile phone. To do not update Facebook again, It is useful to open it on my laptop for about twice a day.

You are better off with listening. To prevent you from being lazy, a perfect video should last about 5 minutes.

Being a movie-goer, I am glad to introduce you a lot of masterpieces in the film industry.

Me too, I would spend all day watching many genres of movies in the past. However, I have been busy with my
studies at the university lately. The latest film that I've seen is Leap year, which told us about the story of a girl who finally discovered her true love after a long journey in Ireland.
I want to take the ielts exam the next year and i hope to get a 6.5 overall. Can u guys tell me which courses, documents to start with ? Thanks

Hello. From my opinon, i think you should listen english material as much as possible.
Next step is that you're going to speak the material and record it and play it to yourself. You will find out your mistakes and you will try to fix these mistakes in next recording.
That is my own experience. I have time to study the course from WSE school and i find that way is helpful for me.
